And some of the original 4x4 are still in service as rescue/postal cars in Swiss/Italian mountains I'm told :)

I can assure you I did descent from the highest point you could get a car to back in 1994, from roughly 2k down to the sea level. Should've been more precise with Top!, but assumed one would understand that you can't drive a car all the way to the crater...unless you are a founding member of a Top Gear crew of course.
