I can’t understand for the life of me why Chelsea didn’t bend over backwards to keep Willian. He’d improve every team in the Premier League.

I won't be watching Arsenal this season...

He was offered a three year deal at top whack by Arsenal and Chelsea already have 10,000 players who play in his position.

A win! It’s taken just shy of 200 days, but we’ve finally got a W after a run of twelve defeats!

1 game into the new season and thrushy is berating his players
did he learn nothing from his last two failures as a managerthe man is a dinosaur in a digital world, bet he has them all training with a medicine balls and his cure for any ailment is some ripe smelling liniment to be rubbed on any ague, malady, pox, gripe or palsy

I won't pretend I didn't enjoy that after the way last season ended. It looked like your midfield is going to be a problem this season, although I don't know why you would go three at the back and give us an extra man in the middle. Was the thinking that it would give the defence more chance to contain Vardy?

who knows? there are only two prem quality players in the whole squad. possibly one or two youngsters have the potential but they didn't get much game time last season in the championship due to use of loan players that got us promoted. We have just spent the transfer window so far buying those same loan players to get back to where we were on the last day of the season. We have added Kipre, who might be useful and a reserve keeper.
The defense was never going to be good enough at this level. Livermore and sawyers will win few battles this season. Lack of pace all over the pitch means we rarely press.
The result will however wake up those albion fans who thought we could do a 'sheff utd'That result will boost Leicester but I would temper it with a reality check. you wont get many games easier than that

That's probably true, but it was just what we needed. With Maddison back and Castagne covering for Ricardo till he returns, we're already better than the end of last season. I expect a couple of signings this week.

Which manager is favourite to go first this season? Mourinho at 8/1 looks generous.
-
• #154068
Moyes / Bruce . Just because the back room board people are a little unpredictable. And I think both managers yet to totaly win over the majority of fans. But I guess that's not much of a problem this season with no fans in. Maybe the piped in crowd effects will ramp up with the boo boys if results slip at clubs.

Surely they can't afford to sack him...
Moyes is top of the list.
-
• #154070
Doubt Gullivan can afford to sack Moyes even if he’s only on a year’s contract
-
• #154071
Absolute scenes if they use the money from Diangana to sack Moyes.

In fucking deed.
Well WHU are in the bottom 3, the next game vs a team that would be considered a bottom half of the table isn’t until after Guy Fawkes night. In which time any other strugglers will have picked up the odd point or three. So I’ll be amazed if we get out of the bottom three by Jan 2021 if at all.

It's got to be your year this year. You can't keep getting away with it...
We had a few years dicing with death and it creates so many issues with the staff, players, fans etc that it consumes you eventually.
If it helps, the last two seasons for us have been the most enjoyable 10-15 years for me.

take jose at 8/1.
Roy Hodgson if covid kicks off again and i don't mean that as a joke. at some point the man has to look after his health
can any club afford to sack any manager at the moment?Jose will not get a tune out of that team . The vanity project that the amazon documentary was shows the depth of his managerial technique to repeat ad nauseam '...dont be the nice guys' . only issue being, is Levy's tongue too far up his arse?
