Spend another £10k kitting it out and you've still got change for an mx5 and half a supercharger.

Happy to see an example, 15-20k is what I'm finding.

It's a manual with three seats, not an auto with 5/6.

Tesla Model 3 test drive was excellent.
Just the standard range so rwd and less power but plenty of poke. Cabin is great and the standard coils are surprisingly comfortable; even around town with shit roads.
Would have to have the LR though as 200 miles of range isn’t enough. 300 is perfect though.
At the other end of the spectrum, testing a new defender tomorrow. Exciting.

What spectrum is this?

Golf club carpark.

Size. Drivetrain. Emissions.
Pick one

Pretty well defined spectrum. Footprints are similar. Are Tesla drivers interested in emissions? Customer demographic for these two vehicles are pretty similar.

Did you see the Harry's garage on the X5?
-
• #57561
Yeah. I’d love an X5e but delivery times are nuts and they have surprisingly shit residuals which makes leading then expensive.

I guess the fact that I’m looking at them both means that’s true.
But that’s not what I said.
They’re at other ends of a the spectrum of cars. ICE / electric. Saloon / massive 4x4. Brand new company / really old brand. Etc.

not sure who it was that said upthread that land rover owners are by and large gammony fuckwits, but i've just spent an hour in a screwfix car park being spoken at by comically racist builder who only got chatting to me because we had similar cars.
"why can't i say the N word?" etc.

I rented a brand new Peugeot van a couple of months ago to move house and it was fucking horrible to drive! Felt really agricultural. The 10 year old VW Crafters I drive for work feel just like big cars. The Peugeot was absolutely enormous though, significantly more load space than any other van I've driven so depends what you need it to do.

On the subject of Defenders I saw one of the new ones today. Looked much better in the flesh than I expected.
In Arctic Survival Dad White with murked out ancillaries.
Still can't help but feel the Disco 4 with a plastic interior would be more of a spiritual successor.

Drove one today. Loved it. Driving position is ridiculous; up in the clouds. Even when compared to the current car.
£££ for what it is though and boot surprisingly small.
Will see what the numbers look like but Tesla has the edge.

The only spectrum is the Sinclair spectrum. +2 of course.
Isn't a really nice 3-5yo reasonable milage Transit like £10k?
