Hi folks. Just bought an obnoxiously yellow Viking Race bike, with quite distinctive time trial handles. Got nicked last night on Ashwin Street in Dalston. Would be delighted if anyone spots it, as I have cycled it twice.

Just spotted a Black Tig Welded ESB with BLB king hub, green spokes, H+Son black rim and some other goodies that looked very much stolen on Lewisham High Street. Maybe it's someone on here?

Hi! It really sounds like my custom made ESB bike which was stolen 4 years ago on Kennington from my bike storage. It’s been reported to the police with the crime number 1219677/16.

It's your bike dude! DM me your details and if it comes into our shop again we will find a way to get it back to you

Cool, I've found the stolen bikes section! I've posted this up in suspicious ads section but will flag it up here too.

This just rings all sorts of alarm bells. Hopefully bringing this up might help someone. This seller also has many other suspicious ads.
I started messaging him (most definitely not to buy) to find out more. Yeah. Suspicious.

Has the seller (thief) reversed one of the pics to make it less recognisable?
-
• #15461
No, it's just a bike from Kuota's lesser known twin sister company, atouK....

• #15462
Wow, DA shifters at least and some other tasty kit. Suspicious as, if seller doesn't actually know/provide any details about it.

STOLEN MIDNIGHT LAST NIGHT FROM KINGS CROSS
Older Trek Madone in grey with white detail.
Shimano 105 groupset
Limited edition FFWD wheels (black with chrome spokes and chrome DT Swiss hubs)
Shimano 105 groupset
Selle Marco seatTook into the shop with me as I thought it would be safer than locking it outside. Took it right in front of me- tried chasing but no use in cycling shoes. Watched my bike disappear up Caledonian Road.
Also had a frame bag and saddle bag with trainers, tools, pump, lock (ironically) and a few other bits.
Please let me know if anyone sees anything, it was my only bike and I'm pretty lost without it.
Thanks.

Jesus that's a really low tactic, I really feel for you. Doesn't solve anything of course but you have my empathy on this. Brazen.

Thanks, I really appreciate it x

Technically a mugging? Also, I assume you've given the info to the police? Still worth doing despite the general lack of action, as without reports they can safely assume that they don't have to care about this kind of crime.

I have reported, worth filing it incase it does turn up somewhere I suppose. Not holding out much hope, only hope is that the wheels are pretty noticeable

I'll keep an eye out for anything posted up on here. But the guy I was talking to above just keeps on nicking and selling bikes 🤷♂️

Are those all for sale at the same time?! Any way of reporting the seller to...someone?! The chances of them being an extremely keen multi-disciplinary cyclist with telescopic legs who just can't make up their mind which bike they like best are practically zero.

Is there a thing of stealing bike handle bars?
Friend had the handlebars stolen off his B'twin racer, nothing special or new just microshift brifters.

Yup, happened to 2 mates of mine and seen countless of such cases roll into the shop.

Hi guys, my beloved bicycle recently got stolen from a private stairwell on Golden Lane Estate (London, EC1Y). The theft took place between 15:00-16:20 on 31st August (Bank Holiday Monday). I've only had it since May, but it's a custom build from an excellent guy up in Edinburgh where I study, and it's gotten a whole lot of use down in London/the Weald/East Anglia this summer so I've become really rather attached to it and had plans to continue upgrading it into a semi-gravel bike.
I'm heading back up to uni in a matter of days and am just trying everything I possibly can before then - so it would be hugely appreciated if anyone London-based (particularly in the City/Islington/Hackney sort of area) happens to come across it and could let me know!
If anyone can keep their eyes peeled - it's a 1980s newly-painted-black Orbea road frame (no decals other than a Columbus AELLE sticker, minor top tube scratches), riser bars with pink grips and pink front brake cable, brown gumwall Panaracer GravelKing tyres on aluminium rims, Brooks C15 AllWeather black saddle, Shimano cranks + brakes and SunTour derailleur. Please see the attached photos.
Please contact me on 07480 513 038 - thank you!
P.S. I see people including their crime ref numbers, is there any benefit in doing this? I would have assumed it should be kept private but seemingly not.

Now this is going to sound cuntish, sorry but I would do the ball bearing thing on expensive stuff but decathlon stuff on a cheap road bike? the brifters were microshift...or are bike thieves not that fussy?

This was stolen from the underground parking in my building today. It's a Leader Mordecai frame, Gusset forks and cranks, Thomson stem, wheels are nukeproof rims to surly rear hub and nukeproof front. Had Schwalbe Big Apple tyres and a different saddle on when it was taken
Must have happened between now and this morning as it was still there. Was located in Greenwich/Deptford area, would appreciate it if people kept an eye out.
I've never had a bike stolen (lucky me) before and not so sure what else I can do to try and track it down

There's two types of locks, as far as I know they are all upgraded with the lock protector.
