Gonna swap my functional carry it all bike from drops to risers. Do I need a longer stem? Looks like it might be a bit cramped.
-
• #23928
Likely 20-30mm longer, but best to see how it is first, the wider the bar, the shorter you may need (which means you may not need to change it).

I actually found it the other way round, and ran a slightly shorter stem with risers. See how it works out.

Isn’t it just a gravel king?
-

Thought it was slicker & lighter?

Isn’t it just a gravel king?
No experience with Gravelkings (they don't come in 26" slick), but made by Panaracer so most likely very close. It is very light though.

Pretty sure the first generation came in 26 but probably not a big seller so got dropped.
@ectoplasmosis are they? Had some in the shop the other day and they looked pretty identical - I’m interested because I ran 3 sets of OG gravel king slicks over a couple of years and had maybe 2 or 3 punctures, found them to be great tyres - but “on ere” everyone says they’re shit/fragile etc. The contrary opinions of the BJP, even more so if it’s a thinner tyre from the same factory, interest me.

is that a miniature combustion engine at the rear wheel?

Very cool. Fixed it seems?

I'm not sure. I may hope so.

Drivetrain is moving in the second picture and I think I spy a lockring in the first.

I used to have the same Brooks saddle. The one you own now. Are you getting comfortable on it?
-
• #23942
The Brooks Swift is probably the most comfortable saddle I've tried so far. Didn't really get on with the C17. Thought initially the Swift was too narrow, but I'm beginning to come back from that. Two sit bone indentations are beginning to show, and look to be not too close to the edge.

Anyone know which bag and rack those are?
Also why that sentence ties me up in tenses or whatever they are?
-
• #23944
Good to hear.
The comfort will probably getting even beter. I liked it very much. -
• #23945
The rack is from Rene Herse. The UD-1 Disc version. The bag is probably the Berthoud Small Universal Bag.
I don't understand your second question.
Do you mean the Paragonmachine sliding dropouts? -
• #23946
You were right, 760mm bars and I had to go down 10mm to a 90mm stem to be comfortable.
-
• #23947
Any recommendations for long grips? I need 170mm ish. Something cheap.
-
• #23948
ESI XL? I recently got some of the xxxtra chunky ones and they're great
-
• #23949
Yeah I saw those but they're about £26. I'm not that fussy about grips so something cheap will be fine.
