Cheers, may be a bit narrow and thin for her. Will measure it out on the floor and get her to try.
She usually uses the £10 flocked lilo type so need to maintain comfort and width -

They have the 7.5 at £70 which is a pretty good price. The temptation is to put too much air in the bed.

I went bivvying for the first time on Saturday night. Had "budget" kit, and it worked really well. Wasn't cold at all.
Bivvy bag: that Karrimor one. Can't find it on Sports Direct any more which is a shame. No condensation issues, but it wasn't a damp night.
Sleeping bag: Forclaz Trek 900 from Decathlon.
Mattress: Air Structure 700 (short version) - this kept deflating overnight, so today I'm going to see if I can find a leak. Will be disappointed if it's fucked, because it's a really nice bit of kit. Didn't stop me sleeping quite well, however.
Other shit: thermal leggings from Lidl, silk bag liner (didn't need), cheapo Decathlon down jacket (used as a pillow).
All in all quite a success.

Sounds very different to my first bivvy.
Crawl into silly plastic bag with nothing but the same clothes on, shake uncontrollably, pack it in before dying of hypothermia.

3 season bag that packs down small enough to do bikepacking without breaking the bank, any ideas? I'm looking at the Mountain Hardware Lamina 30F for £120.

Decathlon weighs about the same but down will compress much more than that synthetic https://www.decathlon.co.uk/down-sleeping-bag-trek-900-0-id_8575975.html

I’m a big fan of my Paria down 30f quilt, packs down well. Can be found for 130 on amazon.

Had a decathlon 'so warm/light' bag for about 5 years now. Had around 80-100 nights use in that time, packs small, lofts up quickly, been washed a few times. Only niggle is length, as a medium sized man I thought a medium sized bag would be right, nope, 5'9 is really at the max of it, so their sizing is unisex just incase anyone makes same mistake.
Replaced a mountain hardware bag (stolen after only 2 years use) that was easily double the price (£300 vs £135 iirc), and apart from length (my mistake) and zip getting stuck a few times I honestly have not found a difference. Used them both the same places at same times of year. -

Any reason not to get a Sea to Summit Spark SPII bag for 250 euros or so?
Actually, never mind, just found a Big Agnes Sarvis SL 0 for around 190 euros

I already pondered it. I’m not much Over that height but I’m not sure it’s worth taking the risk.

What's the go-to synthetic bag these days? Ideally comfort around 0.
Or, maybe, what's the go-to light synthetic bag I could boost a bit with summer weight primaloft quilt/winterlite mat underneath?
I know I should just make/buy an apex quilt, but I've run out of time to get my shit together for a few things later this month/early next.

don't get a synthetic bag, it's not worth it.
I've explained why many times in this thread -

I’ve got a tarp and groundsheet but I’ve been wondering whether it’s worth getting a bivvy so at least if the weather is fine I don’t have to pitch anything.

I have one and it's fine. The R value is not 4.4 as per the new standard.

Reading all the comments it doesn't seem it's going to be any better than my Aliexpress sleeping pad. I'll do a couple of nights in the garden with my new bag to see if I need a new pad or not.
