To me it seems like the dropouts should be further apart. I have never heard of 12x135 until now and 12x142 seems to be the standard...

12 x 135 was a shit standard as there was nothing to locate the hub whilst you fumbled with the axle, and also the axle took all the load. Was quickly replaced by 142 x 12 about 10 years ago.

Hope still do 135 x 12 adaptors for Pro2 evo/Pro4.

More importantly, why the hell would a modern bike still come with 135/12. There was, and still is, no point to its existence. This is weird. I'd go on a limb here and say they're chatting shit and the frame is wonky.
If not, its such a bizzare decision.
