Would explain things, as it's younger than me people who want to make socks and sandals hip.
But me and my brother didn't rate our dads leather sandals with white tennis socks much.
Can't beat the comfort though and indoors I do socks and ugly slippers as the rented house comes with a good Belfast Extra Cold Floor with Bonus Draught.

Just reading about how in Russia, India and various other countries it is considered poor taste to show your feet so it is considered polite to wear socks and sandals. Other countries, like the Czech Republic and Germany it seems to be a generational rebellion thing. I.e its what the olds do so the young rebelled. I find stuff like this fascinating.
