Also finance companies can be very binary / "computer says no".
#CSB - the company my mum worked for paid their company cars from a separate non-trading investment company. For one of the cars they were going to get an Alfa Giulietta. They went round and round in circles with Alfa finance over the question of what the trade was and how a non-trading company could pay the lease. In the end they bailed for fear of the finance co's ineptitude effecting the companies credit rating.
I am trying to sort out the finance on a new car subscription / rental thingummy deal. (Pay monthly, don't own car at end).
Finance is being applied for in Mrs mashton's name as she has all the £££.
The finance company are now saying they can't proceed with the application unless the insurance policy is in her name too. She has a license but hasn't driven for 20 years. Zero NCB.
I want it to be in my name, with her as a named driver, if necessary.
We are married.
Is this normal?
Can working men not buy cars for their wives? WTF?
