I think respacing is totally doable. Obviously best done by a pro, but you should be able to do it with a bit of research

I couldn't wait and had a look around my workshop. A threaded rod, 2 nuts some leather washers and 5 minutes later everything is alright.

Need to wait for the new rotors to arrive and check alignment but it looks good for the moment.
