@Stonehedge yeah... I feel a bit silly now as it was just one video popup on rennlist.com that made me assume it wasn't working.

You can adjust the blocking lists to block more or less stuff.
I have my router set to block relatively few things so it doesn't break too much stuff but my phone has a much stricter blocklist.

I did.
And my Smart TV isn't wired up, it's the Nvidia Shield and Netflix app that is chatty, that and the Netflix app on my mobile.
I'm doing around 1.2M DNS queries per month... also very happy with the setup.

Just don't add a Smart TV device to the mix... those fuckers really query heavily.
