The family scruffy leave it anywhere load carrier “The Family Tank” has to be changed after (justified) complaints about its handling.
At the moment it is based on a Dawes Roamer 531st “mountain bike” frame, the new Tank is a Peugeot 531 Magnum frame.
As part of the brake upgrade I might try a rear Shimano Roller brake....two questions.
Are they any good and how do I work out which washer I need they come in 3 widths.
Which washer do you mean? IME rollerbrakes are ok; not massively powerful, but consistent in all weather conditions, and need pretty much no maintenance from one year to the next.
Both the BR-c3000 and BR-c6000 seem to come with either a 3/8"x7.2mm, 3/8x8.2mm or 3/8"x 9.7mm washer it seems to go between the Nexus8 hub and the brake.
