From the bottom up:
- No brakes, 45psi in tyres, so no grip
- Brakes, grip, levers too far in
- Brakes, grip, levers in correct place

Also, bike shop guy is going to hate me, I just dropped the bike off and asked him to bleed the brakes again. Maybe I should order a Magura bleed kit for my time here.

super fun!

^^^ Slightly surprised your heart rate wasn't higher for the first run.

The long periods of standing by the trial thinking “fuck I’m going to die” allowed it to calm down somewhat I suspect, leading to a lower average than the other runs

Lever going straight to the bar this morning. Bike shop is swapping it for a Zee before I can ride. I am deeply unimpressed with Magura.

Interested in the MT7s upon your return

I shall potentially have three

You went too high spec! No problems with my MT4s

Or not high spec enough

The Zee on the back works fine, and the MT7 on the front seems to be behaving. We’ll see if I’m selling a single Zee or three MT7’s when I get back to the UK.

Find the nearest utility bike shop in Germany - they will have experience with MTs and be able to bleed them correctly.

Getting to grips with the Pace now, nothing like back to back red runs to do that I suppose.
It feels very stable, also the limits of grip (unless on wet roots) seem much higher than I’m currently reaching. BB is low but I’ve yet to catch a pedal- but then I’m hardly pedalling. With that said it pedals well- this is definitely a trail bike that is being used for downhill rather than a downhill (or even Enduro) bike.
The Zee is more convincing than the MT7, but Howard has insisted that this can be reversed through proper bleeding so I’ll reserve judgement for now.
Seemingly crazy steep chutes this bike takes in its stride, very much have the feeling that it can go around a thousand times faster than I am willing to at the moment.
Planning a longer day tomorrow, will see if I can take a bit more speed and spend a little more time in the air.

Is it all your younger self wanted from a Pace?
Do you feel like you could be on this one
Consider this as more of one man's stream of consciousness with multiple inputs from interested parties.
