• @Sumo yes i wouldn't deny the obvious stopping benefits of hydraulic but can't imagine mechanical is that bad right? We're talking about a 'gravel' bike that is used more for commuting with the odd weekend gravel ride thrown in so i guess my point is well, are hydraulic brakes necccesary or could i sacrifice the braking performance a bit for some more comfort on the hoods

  • Honestly I was really happy with the Hy/Rd calipers. It was nice not having to buy new levers and everything else too.

  • seconded, i have been runnin some juin tech for about 2 years on my commute/gravel and bar the odd steep muddy descent, very happy with the set-up
