My kids are 4 and 6, I live in a relatively rural part of Scotland. Last weekend was the 6 year olds first time riding on the road with me on the tandem with the 4 year old and my wife on her bike.
There was a notable change in drivers behaviour, 99% being very cautious.
It still seems like 1% are going to be over aggressive regardless of the type of bike.
That 1% are the main reason my wife won't entertain the idea of riding on the roads regularly.
