I tend to go in circles with this. I convince her its fine.... then have to ask her to drive me to a&e every 18months or so.... cycling is safe...honest

not sure you can. only way you can is by taking offspring out onto the roads and making it a natural daily occurrence, this is how we travel. Hopefully if enough parents do this, the visbility of it makes it more acceptable for other parents to do it.
I'd be more worried about the cost of it myself, and the infrastructure to support people continuing to use cargo bikes

How to convince a non-cycling wife / husband that cycling with their precious offspring on the roads is safe? Feeling hopeless for the future of utility cycling in the UK.
Until is see as safe for the majority of people it's just a non-starter.
