On the US coverage Matt Randell speculated he had a puncture or something as he dropped way off the group he was in before that corner and he nearly made it past that sticky out bit but hit his pedal on it.

Unbelievable after that crash his bike looks in perfect condition.
Shifters banged up but no flat tires or broken wheels.

After a car on the course left Edo Maas paralysed for life in the U23 race last year, you might have thought they'd be paying extra-special attention to that issue this year.
Thought it was interesting that Eurosport eventually found the live race feed from Italian TV so distasteful (switching from the racing to bring the viewers live footage of Evenepoel being treated by paramedics for their viewing pleasure and delight) that they canned the live feed and switched to footage of boats pootling about on Lake Como instead.

Photos of the bike leant on the side of the bridge show both tyres inflated.

do people say that in real life?
Sadly, yes

not even sure the shifters are banged up - I think he has them angled in like that intentionally for teh_aeros

Mystery of Remco’s bike being perfectly stood against the wall; there were two team cars directly behind him when he crashed and someone jumped out the front car and picked his bike up but both cars just fuck off again!

Roglic not starting today. This is a peculiar season.

Yes. That’s how he likes them.

Can only imagine they decided it was a pretty sketchy place to have two cars stopped on an active course? Would hope it’s radioed to someone with a much better ability to neutralise things and get down to help?

Cav did not really contend the sprint in today’s tour of walonie. Here have been a number of ‘unlucky’ incidents for him since racing recommenced which I suspect will bring to an end a brilliant and successful career. It’s difficult to see him in the tour this or any future year.

He was really well positioned up until about 600 metres to go, but then got blocked and lost his momentum. Back in the day, he'd have recovered from that, but these days he seems to a) get caught out more and b) can't recover.
Epstein-Barr has really done for him, hasn't it?

He coped with nearly being pushed off the road in his ‘old self’ way, that is elbowed his way off the kerb. The second incident seemed to affect him more and perhaps his lack of confidence as well as recovery from him illness meant he didn’t battle as would have done in the past.
He has had one of the greatest careers in cycling history yet alone in British cycling history, it would be sad to see him retire but we’ve seen one of the best sprinters ever over the past 12 years or so. -

Great result out with the old in with the new and a great result for columbia .
What actually happened? From the overhead footage I’ve seen he inexplicably hits a low wall on a straight section?
