Yes. They had to remove the existing software and reload it. If that hadn't worked it was a new idrive unit .. expect a bill!

Don’t for a second think this one passed me by. But the behemoth golden derrière would not take your bike whole.

They just put France on the quarantine list- from 04:00 am on Saturday. Looks like I’m staying at home for two weeks when I get back.

Check your insurance, because FCO now warns against "anything but essential travel" to France. I am in the same boat, wondering whether to cancel (due to leave tomorrow evening). The quarantine rules are really strict e.g. they state you're not allowed out of the house even to walk your dog, seeing as my wife has a horse she has to muck out & feed twice a day at a yard in the next village (/golf club) this could cause a problem :(

Presumably from 4 am on Saturday though? Wondering if we leave Friday night our insurance would be ok. No insurance would be a problem.

Luckily your wife can go to see her horse as an eye test.

Yeah, I don't actually land in France until 8am Sat. Reading the small print as we speak. TBH the quarantine rules are more of an issue for me as I'm not going downhill MTB ;)

I've already made the eye test gag

I’m debating swallowing the Chunnel ticket cost on Saturday and trying for a berth on Friday night in order to beat the deadline.

Mine reads as follows:
< exclusions >- Any claim that results from you travelling to a country or an
area where the (FCO) Foreign and Commonwealth Office
advice at the time that you purchase your policy or book an
individual trip, whichever is the latter, is not to travel to this
country or area.
So should be legit as booked when France was terra grata

I’m going to go unless France introduce a reciprocal quarantine. I’ll make a call on trying to get there on Friday night tomorrow morning. Would be easier if it’s ok to travel on my existing booking.

Looks like we're going to cancel. Brittany Ferries website now down

Ive just bought a new Transit custom, direct from ford for £22k. 185bhp with captain seats instead of the bench up front. It’s worth giving them a call. No body kit either.
Amazing you can buy a new better spec’ed van for less than what private sellers want second hand.

In a moment of speculation went on the Fiat Ducato configurator. you can spend £51k on a van without trying. On a van.

Finally, shame it’s come at a time where BMWs are unbuyable due to ugliness

I'm also booked to fly to France tomorrow, think I'll cancel.

"lamborghini" decal should be in the Live Laugh Love thread
At first I mistook the golden monstrosity for part of the background, seeing only a long black Ute. The praised acceleration and braking would be prodigious if you turned it into a pickup.
Weren't you looking for a speedy bike hauler for your trip to the Alps?
