FWIW I’ve been running the Pirellis (35c, tubeless) for most of the year. They’re lovely. Grippy in the wet, roll well, quite a thick tread so fairly durable. Not sure if they’re as good in smaller sizes/tubed.

Installed some GP5000’s. They are nice but pricey especially in the “cream”sidewall...

can anyone use their internet-bike-fu to find me some schwalbe g-one all round (tanwall version) at a half decent price (£30?)?

What are the current go-to 25mm option for winter training tyres?
Also to be used for commuting with a rear rack.Priorities in order:
Noticeably faster than my current Marathon Plus
Very good grip in the rain
Punture protectionI'm about 65 kg if that makes a difference.

Googling the “EAN” number from the Schwalbe site often seems to bring up deals

Will I suffer catastrophic wheel explosion if I use a 23-28c inner tube in a 32c tire?
-
• #7488
I used a 25c latex inner tube for about a month before it punctured in a 35c tyre.
No explosions or fire -

Continental GP 4 seasons would be my choice.

IME race tyres are grippy and training tyres are (sometimes) puncture proof.
If you’re not already, you can get better wet grip by finding your lowest safe pressure. Something like a Durano is a decent training tyre in 25mm.

Latex tubes in 38mm tyres here and never had any problems.

700x45 Riddlers fit on the Kinesis, though they only come up to 42mm on my 18mm-ish road rims.
Now I want to see if I can get 700x50 in there (the back will fit but not sure about the fork).
Any suggestions for a 700x50 gravel tyre that's actually in stock somewhere in the UK?
Planet X have these but I presume they're not Tubeless for that price?

I was looking into this before, there doesn't seem to be a whole lot of options in that size currently.
The gravelking SK comes in 700x50 but ye not sure if anywhere in the UK has it in stock. Soma cazadero is another but again probably difficult in this country.
Teravail do 700x47 if you're willing to sacrifice 3mm.

Sigma have 700x50 GK SK
I've ordered a pair. I may still have to find a skinnier option if they don't fit.
-
• #7497
Oh result, maybe I'll buy them off you if they don't fit.
-
• #7498
You after some? I'll keep you in mind then.
I'll just use tubes initially for sizing so they won't be full of used jizz or anything. -

Need some new tyres and thinking of giving the Vittoria Corsa G2.0 a go as really like the original ones. However, all the reviews I've read say they are a complete nightmare to get on and off which puts me off....Anyone have them and can confirm?
Could get the Continental Grand Prix 5000's but found them a bit underwhelming on my other bike.

puncture today and all the tubeless sealant pissed all over my calf and shoes. gross latex calf-mask at the cafe stop and genuinely looks like someone's pissed on my (admittedly white) shoes : /
didn't need to stop though, so, swings and roundabouts
I've never had problems mounting 4000s, so it must be a case of not playing well with the rim.
I had a regular continental grand prix a while ago, I quite liked it. It wasn't the same tyre as the 4000, definitely less supple and fast, but arguably (to me st least) less "stiff" than the 4 seasons. It's not as puncture proof though. I had a couple of punctures, mostly while touring. I'd buy them again, probably.
