Alternative option is Spa Cycles own 110BCD 5 arm road crank/chainset which look good, well priced and square taper for any q-factor you want.

I quite like the now polished rival cranks though. And I've decided to only have square tapers on my road bike. I'd like to think I can go a little off-road with the Varonha (never gonna happen), splined cranks are better for fatties like me even if external bearings are less durable it seems (never had problems with the gxp I've been using).

External bearing are fine, it’s slightly more prone to misalignment compare to square tapers bb (as in BB she’ll aren’t 100% perfect), those are usually the main reason why bearing get notchy over times.
With a custom frames, it should mean the crank slide in without much effort.

Got some photos for you.
Trouble is I am missing two springs. I might be able to sort some out for you but I can understand if they are a bit of a deal breaker.
They feature some nice TRP Revox/Eurox straddle cables and light weight hangers. And they come with some brand new koolstop brake pads that might be nice on ceramic rims?!Edit: the black and silver mix might go well with your cranks...

Thanks for looking for these, looking good! Re sorting out springs, do you mean you have means of sourcing replacements?

Thanks, although in detail still a lot of work to do... Definitely waiting the end of the heatwave to carry on!

Do you know anyone with a bench grinder and polishing disc, that you could borrow? It would speed things up a lot.
And you are probably aware, that the shine will lessen over time as the raw aluminium oxidises -

Thinking of colour scheme, and graphics, I'm still unsure of what I'm doing...
I've started thinking of different decals ideas over the last few months (which I'd need to discuss with Winston - haven't yet spoken to him or Mario). I don't have much time to do much though and I'm not happy yet with anything.

I do have one, but it's a jewellers one originally which I've butchered to enable access with larger (bike) parts, but it's a small spindle, I don't know if I can fit an adapter on it to fit bigger wheels. And the wheel I have doesn't fit too well on it so it's a bit of a struggle sometimes.

Bonjour : )
Out of interest, is there an 'official' Varonha logo?
I was going to go without graphics on mine (to detract thieves) but have since thinking it might be nice to have something after all... not sure how much it'll mean to the thieves anyway so why not, etc.

As far as I know (although best ask Winston) there's an official logo/headbadge (see below), which was designed by a graphic designer friend of mine at the time Winston did my frame. He had a few laser cut then and I've seen it on his frames since (maybe not all of them though maybe some people didn't want it).
But in terms of main tubes decals I don't have the impression there is anything official, I've seen several variations.

Yeah that's kind of what I thought.
I can't see the picture you posted but think I know the one you mean.I really like the stainless head badges and ST stars : )
