• My Edge 1000 has a damaged power button cover (the rubberised cover is torn) and I think Garmin will offer me a not-that-cheap out of warranty replacement. If I'm going to drop the best part of 200e on a device I may as well buy a new one.

    Two things:
1 - does anyone know an easy way to repair the button, it's a stupid thing to cause a device to be thrown away
    2 - Any thoughts about the 530/830/1030?

  • Sorry if a bit late, but i have the same issue and ended Up purchasing this (shown below) of eBay. But i also emailed this guy who can sell you a similar solution grizzemans@gmail.com and he seemed friendly. I Will be trying to repair it next week and hopefully it Works out

  • Yeah I bought one from Pascal and fixed it. Needs a load of silicone over it to stop water coming in but other than that I think it should be fine.

  • That top option doesn't look waterproof at all. I think I prefer the options that cover the whole gap. I'm still just using mine inside and turning it on with a pen. 1030 does proper rides now.
