It's three words - how difficult is it to get them in order?
-
• #231
Who are you to define the order?

This is great and it really helped me when a big wave of fear came over me, instead of feeling inadequate, I just surfed that sweet terror wave all the way home. Thanks man!

Somewhere to build a cottage to store all these lovely things.

Shelving books with the spine on the inside is a crime in itself.

Is that a print of a log pile?

I think it's discs of wood glued (?) to the fireplace.

[retracted, unfairly snobby. thread has the potential to veer too far to golf club territory and I don't want to help that.]

I thought that was carpet. In my manifesto it clearly says: NO CARPETS.

I love a good carpet. And there are so many different buying options.

That pic is a real thread-ender I reckon. Nothing's gonna top it. the Range Rover outside the window is the cherry on top.

We have that same rug from IKEA albeit in black and white and have since clocked it so many LLLer's abodes

Hopefully it's some kind of "craft" project involving plenty of epoxy resin and huge amounts of waste.

I was going to comment on the RR.

I initially read that as "Lovecraft Designs" which sounds a lot more interesting.

To be honest tho, apart from the vagaries of taste and location, none of these L3 abodes are conceptually different from millions of identikit Ikea Mid-C hipster pads. For my sins I've also read a fair few interior design magazines over the last few years and find it funny how similar so many of the featured gaffs are. Dark F*B walls, a wall full of gilt framed mirrors or gallery wall of quirky art pieces. Grey shaker style kitchens with oak floors and worktops, kitchen islands featuring a bowl of ALL ONE FRUIT, an Ottolenghi cook book and the obligatory bi-fold doors .
We all feel remoresful sometimes.
