No I mean the actual seatposts. I had a similar issue with mine then if you start googling it you'll find loads of people complaining about them slipping.
In my case the seatpost is stamped 27.2 but I can get a whole coke can shim inside the seattube. I think it's actually a 26.8 to be honest. There's a long boring story behind it.
I had to over-torque my thomson stem too to stop that slipping, so in short, I've given up on thomson stuff. Try the carbon paste though - it may work for you.
I have no issues with my thomson seatclamp - works fine with any other seatpost I've used.
No worries, mine is a freak occurrence I think and was simply stamped the wrong size somehow, but just flagging that the slipping issue seems widespread. Give the carbon paste a go
