They're going to want a new normal pretty quickly - If it happened once, it can easily happen again.
But, being Garmin, they'll patch this one thing, then probably sell the fix as a new feature...

Oddly enough, I have a pretty good idea of what they're doing right now to avoid this happening again in future.
Dammit
That’s very probably (by some margin) the cheapest and quickest route back to normality for them.
