Even if you don’t get on with it it’s still worth it for the music, right up to the final episode of S4.

I enjoyed Treme a lot, exactly for the above reasons.
It's about the vibe.
@Gustav just give it a try, you'll see if it's your thing very quickly, just don't expect a nerve-wrecking plot with twists and turns every episode.

Treme is slower than The Wire but has some great characters and some important social commentary...I gather quality doesn't hold in later series
