Ok, thanks!

More or less. If interlacing is the only thing stopping your wheel from eating your RD or disc caliper, you should probably go looking for a better solution.

Right, thanks.

I'm getting .5mm spoke head clearance (tiny flanges) in my calculations, is this still buildable?
.8mm is where FreeSpoke finds happiness. -

Been a 6 week wait
You could already have been riding on ready made LB wheels for the price of one Mavic rim 🙂

This is the wheel building thread not the pre built!! However true that is. I am thankful for trade prices 😉

Thanks for the offer, but looking for something lighter...

No worries at all, I have a raft of rims & tyres in the attic I need to sort out so at least, that make me get them out!

Wheel-Building help?
I have a Nigel Dean Senator with horribly corroded hubs. The rear is the worst and I have found a NOS (Shimano GPX) hub for it. As it would be a first-time attempt at building a wheel is there anyone kind/mad enough to be able to give me some practical help? I'm based by Victoria station but can travel! Help!
PS Finally have the bike - pic attached of the fun rear hub (and freelance spokes!) Underneath the Suntour GPX gloss the front hub has FB etched into it - could that be the Italian FB maker?

I don't think I've seen those Jamo's since Tandy was around.
Lovely wheels, the 25mm profile looks great, might have a look what LB charge for a similar rim!

Anyone know which DT front disc hub this is? (Onyx, 370?)
Can I get 15mm thru-axle end caps for it?

I've seen two on my spares box, I'm sure I have the matching nipples. Only problem is they're black because that's the only I could find at the time, but it's not too hard to sand it silver. Send me a PM if still interested.

All my spokes are black, so that is better!
Thank you!

It looks like the version that cannot be converted. axle and bearings are too small.

If I want to build a Shimano DH-3N31-NT to a Remerx DL719 is this the right spoke length calculation? Or should I never trust manufacturer's measurements and order the spokes later?
Or, what's a good resource for figuring this out?

I think it’s generally recommended to have rim and hub in hand before ordering spokes.

I am too far (Norn Ire) but maybe this helps from my experience (I built 3 wheels so far)
You probably will make a mistake spoking, so be ready for that. Watch some videos to get in your head how to do the lacing and take your time, be ready for some mistakes.
Ensure you get the spoke length right this is a good calculator https://leonard.io/edd/
Use a wheel stand, if you don't have one see if you can borrow on. You -could- do without, and use the frame but then it becomes a hassle and you have to rely on the frame being true.
DT Swiss spoke keys won't hurt your fingers
Make a cup of tea, wait for a quiet time, put the stand on the table, tighten everything to hand tight and then start tuning. Flip over often. Near the end you will find some spokes are tight to creaking/pinging, use your hand regularly, squeezing the spokes once they get tighter going round to prevent imbalances.
If the rim is good and not swiss cheese you'll find you can do it no problem, just be ready for some ballsups and checking your work :)

Got a 20h front wheel to build - not a massive fan of the aesthetics of radial lacing - is it daft to lace a 20h front wheel 2x? Seen a few examples but the local wheel builder has said he’s not keen on the idea... 🤷♂️

Might be the wrong thread for this, but I'm looking for recommendations for good wheelbuilders in East London...
Thanks in advance for any tips!
