For sure. I really gambled, thought I had shifted my weight and given it a pump. In fact I’d just asked to fall. When it came to turning the bike around shortly after, I realised just how deep the ruts were.
Biggest error in judgement was running out of quiksteel/jb-weld and not buying a new tube immediately. It was the one thing I was missing, and the only thing that could repair the Chinesium lever.
Considering the scratches to the brush guard, even thought it moved and the lever snapped anyway, I think it did an admirable job.

Hard armor is the ticket for off road. Glad you’re all good, bit unlucky in the brake lever. You’ve really got to gas it out of ruts, get the weight going back. Will be much easier on the DR when that’s going!
