  • Yes, but it is not up to date. Has some old, and wrong, info.

  • Is an Audax.

  • I think most of us paid beforehand anyway so they've just got rid of the EOL option.

  • Same guys that did Visla1200

  • I wore a 'speed' suit for both TCRs and I would do it again. I was very lucky and my club did them very cheaply - sorta £50ish which compared to a bibshort/jersey combo is very good.

    Pros:
Pretty comfortable - the pressure is distributed evenly and you don't get any chaffing from the bib shorts (not that I ever experienced that)
You save 5 seconds every day putting on one item of clothing
    Aero gainz

    Neutral
I had a front zipped speed suit so going for a number one was easy as with bib shorts. Going for a number was probably easier
You don't get too much space in your jersey pockets but I could still fit 3 coke bottles and some chocolate bars - although this might benefit as I tended to not to use jersey pockets for heavy things alleviating some weight on my back which for a long-distance event is key. That being said - I did adopt a drawstring bag to really stock up on food just before going on into the night, I think Bjorn did the same!

    Cons
Flexibility in attire - you're kinda wearing one minging thing the entire time but that's part of the experience and every 2 or 3 days I would jump into a hotel shower and use all of the soap they had to give it a quick clean then whack on a radiator or something.

Overall - if I were to do it again, I'd use shorts or a speed suit again. Shorts has the advantage of being able to cycle topless (with suncream of course) which is kinda a nice experience with minimal heckles

  • Transiberica's Badlands instagram stories look really nice https://www.instagram.com/stories/highlights/18151907497033054/

Definitely one for the gravel bucketlist.

  • I've still got an entry for it. Anyone taken a ferry to Santander/Bilbao and then got a train to Granada? No I didn't think so because that's a stupid idea. I might end up doing it though...

  • Ride out, lazy.

  • You gonna pay for my extra time off? In which case I'll ride around the fucking world for you.

  • I’ve gotten the boat from Portsmouth to Santander. Lovely trip. You pay for the cabin and I’ll come too.

  • You pay for the cabin and I’ll come too.

Easy tiger. Don't give it away.

  • What about getting down to Granada from there though?

  • I might do badlands. If so I'll give you a lift from north Spain.

  • Cheers, I saw your message, but was busy scarfing down dinner. I'll give you a buzz this week.

  • More dots on your screen this weekend, folks. Three Peaks Bike Race begins and the startlist includes Ulrich Bartholmös, Björn Lenhard and Sofiane Sehili. The women's field is much smaller with just 10 (including pairs!). Fanny Bensussan is one to watch: she was first woman in the Route du Diable and also did a crazy fast time for PBP last year.

All the info is right here.

  • This gon be good

  • Three Peaks Bike Race begins

Don't remind me. Just sent the email telling Michael that Cycliste and I won't be joining in the fun this year.

  • I deferred my Badlands entry until next year. If I go abroad on a holiday this year it won't be to spend time alone. Looks awesome based on the videos I have seen, can't wait till next year.

  • Ulrich's bike!

  • Love this one as well from Gerald Minichshofer. Touring bike built around a old MTB frame. Not the fastest bike but his favourite so thats the one thats getting ridden. #pleasurecruiser

  • What's that strapped to the seat cluster?

Hope all these riders stay safe regarding Covid. Not sure of the regulations, but am surprised it's possible to do this kind of ride currently? Don't see anything on Wacker's site about Covid.

  • It's an Apidura packable backpack

  • Looks a clever little thing.
