It's probably ok. I had a full sus Kona from 2005 with a similar linkage design :-)
It's worth removing the shock to see how the suspension compresses, as it's a good way of finding out if anything's binding. Once you're able to rule that out, you'll know if it's worth chucking a few quid at a shock service

I thought this linkage style was pretty common so I assume there's some notes somewhere. If it's fucked anyway maybe I should play around with it and see if I can notice any difference.
