Oh yeah, I’m totally aware the Raleigh is a heap of shit! It’s unbelievably heavy. By ‘good shape’ I just meant safe to ride to the shops, I’m not going to drop any money on it other than v cheap essential replacements.

The Dawes is actually really nice to ride, so might give that a bit more attention.

Budget is the way to go. I actually found these budget projects to be very enjoyable and a nice change from building serious/fancy bikes. It might be a fun project to see how heavy it can get with a dutch omafiets front rack, brooks saddle with springs etc. :D
