I'd imagine the thought only goes as deep as the business need to minimise friction for the changeover amongst as much of the fanbase as possible, which I think rules out any large scale rebranding.
He's been far more hands off in the post Scott Mcloughan era. His hamartia has always been the fact that he's a fan of the team, compounded by his incompetence - so resisting the temptation to meddle has seemed impossible.
