Wanting a few things in my next camera..
- mirrorless
- IBIS
- weather resistance
- APS-C or full frame
- Travel zoom and everyday prime
Does anything fit the list better than the a Fuji XT-4 with 16-80mm f4 & 35mm f1.4?
Currently using a Panasonic GX80 with 20 and 42.5 f/1.7s.
- mirrorless

Are you keeping the GX80? Seems a shame to lose access to 2 wonderful lenses (just picked up the 42.5mm myself)
Panasonic G9 with 12-60 Panaleica with 25mm f1.4 v2 (weather resistant) would be my choice.

They are good lenses and it's a nice small setup. Those primes with IBIS are great. I'd probably keep the GX80, it's a little tempremental after getting damp a few times.
To be honest, this is my annual itch to go back to a larger sensor. Used to shoot with a 40D many years ago. The Canon Eos RP would be tempting but the lens selection is not there.
You are giving me bad ideas..

Rp with adapter and old L-lenses? That was my plan until I realised it would be far to heavy to lug around.
Rp + adapter + ef 40mm pancake could be quite a good travel combo though

16-55 2.8 and get the 90mm F2 if you need to hit that 80ish mm focal length.
Both come with WR and personally I would consider anything with a higher F value than 2.8 for Fuji XF cameras. They are by no means a low light monster and I find myself shooting mostly wide open because of that.

I had a gx80, lovely little camera, really feature packed for the money.
Now I have ‘downgraded’ to a GM5 because of the ridiculously small size, also have a GM1 as well as a G80 with grip that I use for anything more serious/outdoors.

I have a Canon 500D, and I cba taking it to bike rides/hiking, it's too big, too heavy, too clumsy, and not a very smart device in general. I love taking bike shots and people's portraits with it, but it's just not a very handy device.
So today a Canon G9X (1st gen) arrived, I've bought it second hand for a good price and I'm already in love with it. It has all the good things and it can fit in my pocket if I want it to (will put it in a handlebar or saddle bag instead though).

Got myself a x100v, that’ll be my new companion on the longer cycling trips.

I'm interested in picking up a Fuji X-TX series and a WR lens to shoot mostly landscapes on bikepacking trips. Weather sealing and portability are my top criteria, along with a powerful camera, which is why I think the X-T series is a great option. The X-T2 is ideal, but I would consider X-T1 or X-T3 if the price is right.
I would like to buy used, and have mostly been checking gumtree (based in the UK). Does anyone have any other recommendations on good sites to buy used?

MPB and Ffordes.
The X100V (with the weather sealing kit) would tick all your boxes if the focal length works for you, however it’s still going to be £1k+ used.

And it might be a bit too early to find them used.
I love mine though! Went for the Nisi WR screw on - UV filter. Fits like a dream and allows the use of the original lens cap.

X-T2 with a 23 F2 / 35F2 / 16 1.4 / 16 2.8 pending your preference of focal length. Not the most portable option but together the X-T1 the most affordable. I sold my X-T2 and opted for the X100V instead as I too wanted to bring it along on the bike.

Camera chaps;
Need a recommendation for a waterproof rolltop backpack that's both cycle friendly and camera friendly. Is there a top pick?
-
• #2440
I think Wandrd PRVKE is the only one I’ve heard of - roll top but with a removable camera compartment that allows side access.
Personally I don’t like rolltop bags so not used it and can’t comment on whether it’s any good. If I need access on the bike, I’ll use a Lowepro sling bag, if not I’ll just use a camera backpack or put my camera in a small camera bag inside an Osprey daypack

Ortleib and a cheap padded insert.

Looks like something is messing up the exposure / fooling the meter into believing it's darker than it actually is - is there something in front of the sensor by chance?
-
• #2444
Have you accidentally altered the exposure compensation perhaps?
Failing that, compare the meter readings the GF1 is giving you with a light meter (phone app) to see if the GF1 is over exposing.

Dang! Only just saw this and then noticed you've got one!
Enjoy it, mine has been used extensively for the past 8 months and I'm still finding out new things.

How are you getting on with the 1.4?
I ended up going for the 2 simply due to the fact it was smaller and has weather resistance.
Tempted to try out some of the viltrox (I think) lenses before long, they look like fantastic value for money.

Given it’s a low ISO and a high shutter speed, my guess would be that the shutter stuck a bit. I had that once with my first Fuji. Seemed to resolve after just basically putting it on the highest frame mode and running the shutter for a minute.
Starting off with the 23mm f1.4. Had it before and really like it. Will prob get the 56 and 35 later down the line. They don't seem to hold their prices too well which is good for picking them up second hand.
Tempted on a Mitakon Speedmaster 35/0,95 as well
The creaminess in those shots is quite something
