Ultimately yes it doesn't really matter. Any width will work. And probably 23 to 25 difference is indistinguishable to a normal human?
But 50mm will easily fit your tripster.

I've just had a look and with the 47mm Horizon there's maybe 4mm each side so it might be a tighter fit than I first thought, although it depends on the shape of the tyre and how much the sides balloon out.

My panaracer 48s roll out to 50mm. I'll take some photos later of them mounted. But pretty happy with the clearance front and rear.
