This is probably a bad idea, but I just purchased a Profile Project X handlebar. Condition is pretty bad and it is also quill. I am planning to get it painted in gloss black. Painted to match the frame would be even better, but I suppose that would be pretty much impossible. Not sure how the quill is fixed to the stem. If I can remove it somehow, I might be able to convert it to ahead with some sort of wedge clamp, like the Deda stem. Otherwise I will need to get the forks threaded.
