Building it is the fun part! Kinda.
What model is it? If you were really desperate I could do it. Body needs paint?
I have no idea if it needs paint. The instructions are indecipherable. I didn't make it past the first stage, with the internal gubbins. It has sat in a box, unlooked at, for nearly two years.
If we weren't pandemicking, I'd love to sit in a quiet pub with someone and learn how to do all this stuff.
Maybe I'll wait til that's an option.
It's a Tamiya Rising Fighter, by the way.

Hmm the rear mounts would work as the chassis has a mount point for (pointless) body shell clip fixings there. Fronts not so easy, would need some kind of 90 degree adapter.

Awww poor rising fighter. Sad times.
That's an easy pub build TBH, body might be solid plastic rather than lexan, so might just need stickers.

Cheshire, so a goodly distance.

My bad, didn't read the 'T' bit of your post, you'll be wanting post mounts for that ;)

Done for a while whilst I wait for parts.
Paint job turned out okay. Many layers of white, but still not enough to stop some bleed through. Lesson learned for next time.
Happy with the see through/space frame truck bed.

Nice! don't think the fade really matters, it looks purposeful rather than a mistake, so you winning!
But yeah, for next time - dark colours first! Or, if you must do a light early on, back it with metallic bright or standard silver. That stuff is impenetrable once cured, sets like stone. bendy stone.

Bet that took some masking, especially around the truck bed. Nice work.

Kiddo now has a game where he has to squish the car with the ball. If he misses the car drives off with the ball and he has to chase it. As games go, it’s alreet

Maiden thrashing complete. Ran 1 pack, got 30mins of rather rapid fun, couple of cartwheels, rubberside up moments, but nothing broke, so that's nice.

Man I’m tired of waiting for parts in the post. Hit a wall on this until the shock towers arrive

It's a drag, even domestic post is taking time, I'm awaiting shocks, hub converters, and connectors. It'll be worth the wait though.

This is probably more addictive than bikes, but doesn't keep you as fit.
Buggy no.3 may be on the cards. -

I know! Was quite happy to sell you the TRF, got what I paid for it (give or take), loved building the DF03, and initial run was great, it's just made me realise how sloppy the tolerances are on the DT02 (mainly front axles, it's almost as if the stub axle doesn't have enough thread, so much play). So I've been looking at 2wd buggies, made the mistake of watching ifmar finals from last year, started looking at TLR, AE, and Schumacher, but came to the conclusion that I probably won't race (no local clubs), so one of those would be ridiculous just for thrashing around. Looking at your DN01 and a couple of builds on TC has got me leaning that way, think the TRF201 was too much buggy for me, and as it wasn't box fresh, kinda robbed me of that nib joy. We'll see, far East seems to still have them, had a look whilst researching the Durga for my mate (which he ordered from Hong Kong this morning), and if I manage to avoid duties/vat it could be reasonably inexpensive.

Anyone any interest in a Tamiya Lunchbox complete setup.. I can get pics tomorrow but from memory.. Tamiya lunchbox, ball raced, Super stock RZ motor, 3rd shock mod. Acoms radio gear, Mtroniks ESC, 3-4 batteries, 5A fast charger.. Should have all the boxes, bits of spares etc.. few marks on the body, crack in the windscreen, 2 body mounts broken.. good working 100%
£150 +post?? -

Yeah. The tolerances on the lower end cars are not exactly good, (god knows what hambini would say about it...) hence all the shims I use, but they are a lot of fun. I’m still waiting on my 14th scale buggy to arrive, but racing is already planned for that later this year and I’ll be on the committee of the Micro Section of the BRCA, got my licence and everything!
