  • If you've got bb30, you might as well take advantage of it and use 30mm cranks. I've had no BB30 creaks across 3 different bikes, one a caad12 disc.

  • What is the benefit of a 30mm crank? I would ideally look to run a CAAD12 (if I can find it) or 13 with the standard ultegra chainset (hopefully R8050)

  • They're generally lighter and the larger axle is stiffer. Not something you'd notice but if it was built for it, why not use it?

  • also it means not using any adapters which could cause headache.

    Working at a big cannonade dealer i have more issues with people who've tried to "upgrade" their bike with a thread in the middle BBs than any one who's bought their bike in for us to pop new bearings in once in a while
