1975 Cadillac build thread

Summer of loving update pls.

Lost interest and decided to buy a Corvette C3 as a daily driver. At one point I considered weighing the caddy in for scrap but I've now accepted that its a long term project that might take years to complete but one day it should be done. The big motivation killer is that I had a few friends who promised to help with the welding and so far haven't even bothered to come and look at it, if I could find someone reliable and reasonably priced who could get it welded up I could crack on with the rest(engine, wiring and interior) in no time and she would be rolling again.

Has this been resolved yet?

The Bluesmobile is a 1974 Dodge Monaco sedan that was prominently featured in the 1980 Universal Pictures film The Blues Brothers. The car is described as a decommissioned Mount Prospect police car, purchased by Elwood Blues at an auction after he had traded a previous car (a 1968 Cadillac Sixty Special) for a microphone.

Fix the cigarette lighter.

Just discovered this, regardless of current progress much chutzpah for attempting this.

I hope the welding and motivation haven’t got the better of you..
I had the same fixing up my old Hilux pickup. Now it’s running well, it looks a bit tatty and battered but hey it’s a pickup truck that spent 20 years on a building site. But I love it !
