• I have to admit that I'm rather lusting after a blingy G-Shock.

Could go down the route of buying a fake case from Ali and a donor watch.

Could just buy a real one.

  • I can't see myself taking this off in the near future. As @Velocio said, it's really a very good watch.

If I'm honest, I reckon its overpriced by about £100 but then again, the module in it is very polished and user friendly. Little details like the gradient of the backlight as it fades in and out make a big difference to the feel of the watch. The bluetooth stuff is executed well too. Legibility is excellent. Need some time to report on battery life.

Hopefully not until 2025 at the earliest!

Battery + solar... you're not going to even have to think about it.

I never consciously try to put mine in sunlight, and when I do check the battery level it's always pretty full so it clearly works. Only the bluetooth connection is really going to drain it, and once the watch it set up how you like you'll find you never enter the settings app again unless you're travelling as then setting the 2nd timezone is easier than using the watch buttons.

  • Yeah that’s my only issue, the price. It’s like £300 extra for a steel case and bracelet that looks worse-finished than a £100 Seiko.

But then, it’s a shiny full metal G-shock, ie awesome.

  • Welcome to the brotherhood of that square gshock :-)
