  • Watched it all. Love it.

  • Space Force was pretty good.

  • I really enjoyed it. Weird, but I’m a good way. Some strong cameos too

  • I woke up at 3am this morning and ended up watching the first series of People Just Doing Nothing.
Mockumentary about a West London pirate radio.
    Thought it was quite funny.
Not quite This County level though.

  • Yeah People just do Nothing is good

What we do in the shadows back on. Better than the film to my mind

  • Mr Robot. Watched the first episode last night and was - meh. A pinch of Fight Club, a dash of The Matrix, plenty of men and not many women. But it gets really good ratings across the board. I'm avoiding reviews til I'm sure I don't want to watch it.

Is it worth keeping on with it, or can I assume if I didn't get into the first episode I won't get into the rest?

  • First series was great, I think maybe the second too, I never finished the third or watched four, although apparently it picked up again so I might give it another go.

  • So this https://amp.theguardian.com/tv-and-radio/2020/jun/15/the-end-of-credits-why-doesnt-netflix-want-us-to-watch-them

Really don't like the scrabble to keep the end credits playing on Netflix
Signed the petition though aware that this is a classic 1st world problem

Though the point about creative integrity chimes

  • Any love for I may destroy you? I'm impressed so far

  • Ramy is exceptional.

  • Any love for I may destroy you?

Just watched the trailer, looks interesting indeed!

  • Really good, watched all four (to date) on iplayer yesterday

  • anyone watching the Perry Mason reboot?

disappointed they didn't hit Ozzy up for the theme tune.

  • Friday Night Dinner - only just discovered this, it's quite good fun.

  • Yeah, it’s excellent. Not perfect, but extremely well written, acted, structured. Makes you do a lot of thinking.

  • Friday Night Dinner

    I've never 'got'>>>>>>>

  • Nearly finished the first series of Dark. Really enjoyable.

  • The Boys is back on September 4th.

Finally something to look forward to!

  • Watched some good stuff recently:

    Giri/Haji
    Defending the guilty

Both of those we watched because they had Will Sharpe in (writer/actor from Flowers) who is excellent.

Just finished The Other One, which was a wonderfully British comedy with just the right level of darkness to it.

I didn't watch all of it but watched the last 2 or 3 episodes of I Will Destroy you with my wife and it was pretty hard hitting. Interesting, moving, thought provoking for sure.

If you've never watched w/Bob & David before, we revisited it and it's good, kind of OTT surreal sketch comedy with Bob Odenkirk and David Cross (Tobias Funke and Saul Goodman).

Apologies if they've been done to death in here already but been rattling through stuff during lockdown and these were some highlights.

Flowers was sublime. Thank you for this, they're going to the top of my watchlist. Will Sharpe is someone to keep an eye on, I think/hope he'll do big things in TV.

  • I really enjoyed Giri/Haji too.

  • The Keith Haring Arena thing is a good watch. See how many shots of a concorde flying you can spot!

  • New series of Hanna on prime now, 1st episode better than all of series 1 in my view. Noticeable change of 'style'.

Also on Starz, (free trial!) Is The Great. Same people that did The Favourite. Was excellent.

  • Tried I may destroy you - it's nicely done but found it really depressing / hard to watch which I thought is weird, given that I'm a big fan of Leftovers for example, but I don't know it just made me cringe.
