So the old debate of get power for its own sake or have values that aren't compromised in the pursuit of power? I guess people are seeing in Starmer what they want to because he's been a touch sheepish so far as leader (until RLB). Also did the Tweet thread disregard that Corbyn was pretty close to power during the end stages of the Brexit stuff in HoC? My feeling is the focus on competence could be easily undercut by bs pushed in the press to give an image of chaos even if there wasn't any. He's got a huge task on his hands.
