    Very good. If you want to have *s instead of just italics (as I imagine you may have wanted), put the escape character (\) in front of the first asterisk. Apologies if you didn't want that.

    If you want to show someone the escape character, put an escape character in front of your escape character to escape the escape character, or call it a backslash.
    (\) Which is actually (\\)
    (Which is actually (\\\\) etc).
