  • Never mind, good of you to offer though. DNF 01 coming along nicely, why didn't Tamiya use that as a model number?

  • Did Not Finish :)

  • Why not? They've gone through pretty much every other combination of letters.

  • Clear wings, is it just a fashion thing?
I see most people do it (myself included)

  • Not worth wasting the paint on em. Assuming they spend as much time upside down as mine.

  • If ya paint then the paint doesn’t last long.

Also with modern wings the fins end up being matte or the backing colour.

  • @jontea ordered a DT03T but the day after I ordered it was out of stock. This was a month ago, Two arrival estimates passed and suddenly its now end of July.....

So I cancelled that and have got a racing fighter, truck shell and mounts on the way from Germany. So the same car, just in a roundabout way

  • Hmmm, not holding out much hope for the DF03 I've ordered, Wonderland says available Thursday, modelsport had it due in yesterday, now updated expected due date as Oct? See what happens Thursday.

  • Blarrrrg

Maybe Tony has them? He was due to a get a huge order in.

    Edit. Bugger.

  • Wonderland still showing as available tomorrow, curious, as everyone else has shifted due date to October. Will report back tomorrow.

  • Mine arrived from Germany. But is next door and they are out! Curses!!!!!

  • Just spoken with a chap at Wonderland, my DF03 is being posted today!

  • Update: they’re still out.....

  • Had email confirmation, despatched today!
Have they done a runner with your buggy? Can't trust anyone these days.

  • Arrived today.

  • Blue and carbon, swanky!

  • It's the best combo. Now I need the matching front carbon mount...hmmm.

To answer you question on TC regarding the plastic diff halves, would suggest bonding them to the plates because if they slip the diff half is prone to melting. Unlike in an all-metal construction.

  • Ah well, put em in with silicone grease, see how it goes. Jobs left to do, cut body n wing (and paint, body only), shorten esc/motor wires, trim settings, and treat the Sand Viper to some new electrics.

  • Operation DN01 -> 201 continues.

Rear forward alu suspension mount. The X refers to Extra, the A being .5deg toe in and a smidgeon of extra anti-squat.

  • Rear alu hub carriers. Not sure who made these, don't think they are the Tamiya item. Nice though, bigger bearing for added durability.

  • Looking good. Are the rear hubs out of the bits I sent? If so, think they may be GPM.
Waiting on next door to return, so I can borrow a hairdryer, to facilitate getting the body shell painted.
Motor wires are shortened, everything fits, kind of. I think I need to fabricate a cover for the driveshaft, battery wires are rather close.
