With the Tuscany Trail postponed the EeSU is on the back burner again I’m afraid... But with the EeSU on hold that did free up some so cash so I’ve added a new bike to the stable (and sold the GT to make room in my 15m2 living room).
One Cube Stereo 140 HPC Race is currently sitting next to the Volare, with its boots off waiting for the tubeless rim tape to come in. Looking forward to riding it tomorow.@CptnBigNose I’ve been commuting on the Volare for the past two months and I’ve been enjoying it very much. I am however thinking of selling either the frameset or the complete bike and using the EeSU instead. Lack of mudguard clearance and the low stack height are downsides to me. And three bikes in my living room is just too much.

At least your one lives, mine is still prisoner in its box with assorted parts stacked on top, a little bit guilt and a complex 3 way switch/sale of parts from my commuter is required to turn it into a proper bike so not ideal in the current climate.
Positive feedback definitely positive though and may act as motivation.

Baby steps... Just pressed in the headset and fitted the bottom bracket of the EeSU. Ordered a Cane Creek 40 because I couldn’t find the Ritchey headset I bought four years ago. Test fitted the GRX cranks to see if they cleared the chainstays; like a glove. As if I anticipated the arival of a Shimano gravel groupset when I ffd up with the clearances...
Ritchey Adventure forks should arive tomorow, will try to strip my Volare and build up the EeSU this weekend so I can use it to ride the Thuiscany* Trail next week.*Thuis is the Dutch word for home

Nice work! What happened to the Ritchey Cross fork?

I do like nicely aligned headset cups. Chapeau.

I sold it a few months back, I wanted a flatmount in the front as well. Plus the Adventure fork has mudguard mounts and mounts for anything cages.

Yeah, I am considering both as well. Very hard to find good 1-1/8" non tapered forks these days. Let me know what you think of the Adventure.

Started building it up today but am stuck now due to a 30mm seat collar not in stock and needing 23mm flatmount bolts. But it’s starting to look like a bike at last!

It's refreshing, to see it finally on the move, with so many things around us collapsing.
There seem to be very little space beetween the tyre and the seat tube? -

As complete as it’s gonna get this weekend. Bled the brakes, indexed the derailer, and adjusted the contact points. Now waiting for logo’s, seatpost clamp and aiming a blowdryer at the rim stickers. Looking forward to trying it out at last.

Love the way this is coming together, a bit disturbed to admit I’m also rather taken by that massive planter, any info?

Massive planter? Or, maybe 20” wheels... #bikesfortinypeople
There are ten of these in our communal courtyard of the building I live in. The are ‘bout 3’ high and this one has a chestnut that was planted a couple of years back by a former resident. No idea about what they are though, a landscaper put these here last summer.
Just rode it to my lbs to show it to the owner. Best compliment I got: ‘So you designed it yourself and had the frame made? Wait, you build it yourself?! I’m impressed, very impressed.’

Gotcha, you’ve got a great bike, playmobile or not.
As an aside we’ve got some huge sunflowers coming this year....

Bike is basicly finished, just waiting for stickers. Been enjoying it quit a bit; cycled to work every day, couple of longer rides with my gf, and stumbled on a nice stretch of gravel when we cycled to friends in Zeeland today. Bikefit is spot on, realy happy my ideas of four years ago panned out.

@Libraio how’s life with the Volare? I’m in the process of building up the exact frame.
