Also, the train doesn't go to Donaghadee. Bangor is the end of the line. Could walk to Groomsport from Bangor though.

Have you been to the area?

The whole north coast of NI is lovely, and the scenic route is great. You can also take the train up, you won't see as much with the car but still get some views.

Get parma violet icecream if you ever make it down :)
