  • There's this one, but not Jamie Oliver's

  • I almost regret not ending my Transit Camper at a track day.

  • I bet you'd have got decent value for money - time on the track rather than distance travelled.

Your camper looked good. A mate of mine had a brother who kitesurfed 20 years a go or so, and he got his old Leyland Daf 3.5t camper when we were about 18 or so. Loads of fun

  • I'd still be going around, it was defo built for comfort over speed.

I still miss it. That first summer was great weather and every weekend we regretted selling it, especially once we realised baby would've been fine in it too if I slept on the leaky side.

I think I'd go for similar again over anything vw, although prices for all were on the up even without the dub premium last time I looked, but I haven't checked since covid so there may be a few going cheaper now.

  • I hate School Proms you've watched too many American Tv series.

And I hate "Graduation" photos from Primary School and Nursery.

  • anyone that says "wow factor".

    wood chipper. feet first.

  • People wearing face masks seemingly aware of a recent event, but then reaching past you In shops you hand feel every cucumber you we’re just looking at

  • The fact that I bought a new snazzy leather chair last week for WFH and thanks to the heat my thighs are now sticking to it. It's gross.

  • snazzy

You are my septuagenarian mother, AICMFP

  • Old age ; parents in pain and distress, having to deal with a disjointed care system, cleaning up my mum , it is all fucking shit.

Apologies if that is a bit heavy for the thread, needed a vent.

  • it is all fucking shit

    And then some.

We went through it for 4 years with the mother-in-law.

We will likely go through it with my mother too.

I / we / they are all privileged to have a good source of funds, but even then it's hard. I can't imagine ho difficult it is without.

  • AICMFP

It's got contrast stitching. If that isn't snazzy and I don't know what is.

  • You're not alone. Heading that way with my Mum sadly.

  • Sub in 'jazzy' or 'swish' for extra retiree chic.

  • Sympathies, been there......keep fighting

  • Contact lenses

    They wont go in

Then once in, they wont come out

  • Company, by email: Howard, would your recommend us to others? We'd love your feedback.
Howard: No. You are awful, you score a zero, I'd actively dissuade others from using you
    Company: INTERNAL SERVER ERROR
Howard: Screenshot and reply to email, your feedback form doesn't work
Company: We don't monitor this email address and your response will not be read

  • I have found evening/night rides an efficient way to make a contact lens come out when I didn't want it to.

  • Same cunts that say “wellness” and “mouthfeel”.

  • I've never been able to get the fuckers in. Would be really useful for cycling when it's piss wet. Rain covered glasses don't offer much visibility.

  • "Your password is incorrect/too short"

I haven't finished typing it out yet you dick end....

  • I remember when I first got contacts many years ago, I'd spend about 30 minutes putting them in. Now, just 25 years later, I'm at the point where I can put them in one-handed in about 2 seconds.

  • shonky ux right there. it happens when validation doesn't happen OnFocusLost.

    blame the developers.

  • I've got a choice between gas permeable lenses or toric lenses.

The former feel, unsurprisingly, like grit in my eyes and despite trying them for over a month I just couldn't get used to them. The latter seem three times bigger than my actual eye, getting them in way trickier than a normal sized contact lens.

I've worn glasses for all my waking hours for the last 30 years. I'd love to be shot of them but, barring corneal grafts and a shit load of luck (I'd probably still need glasses after that) it's all I've got.

I just hope I haven't passed down mildly fucked eyes to progeny.

  • Ah yes, I had gas permeable briefly many years ago. They weren't comfy.
