I’ve had oak in my last two places and while it looks great it does not wear well. The kitchen is a high traffic area and the floor will get wet and have stuff dropped on it. Cost wise it’s about the same as real wood, so we thought we’d give it a go. Was worried it would look like plastic but happy so far.
You’ll hate me but it’ll all be covered in Amtico. Kitchen has just been done and the rest of the ground floor is next week.
Even though it’s insulated under the floor boards in the basement, it’s too cold to leave them bare.
