I have an Ng eco and use it on the road no problems.had it mounted on the gravel rig for a while and twice managed to knock the cover off somehow. Luckily found it both times a few meters back. The pins that hold the cover snapping off is what messed up @skinny if I recall right. It's deffo the design's Achilles heel of an otherwise super reliable unit for me.

What about the battery seal on the Ng Vs Ng eco? Is that the main hardware diff? Ng is usb rechargeable while Ng eco has coin battery under somewhat flimsy cover. Exactly what @skinny had problems with.
