That's fucking amazing. Please never paint it!
-
• #1153
Cheers, not intending too paint it. Would detract from the scrap pile nature of it too much.

Somehow missed this awesome thread.
Out of curiosity what are these bars?
-
• #1166
They are a stainless version of a Triumph Bonneville bar.
-
• #1167
I need one of these for my T1000 build, when are you doing an other batch?
-
• #1168
The handle bar? I didnāt make it, I wish I had the ability to bend tubing off that size!
Edit: They were from somewhere like this... https://www.classicbikeshop.co.uk/controls-bars-levers/handle-bars/stainless-steel.html

Do all those old style motorbike handlebars tend to be 22.2mm clamp?
-
• #1170
Mostly yeah.
28.6mm is also a thing but that tends to be newer stuff and thereās 1ā/25.4mm bars on the likes of Harleys but most British bikes and a lot of Japanese ones are 22.2mm/7/8ā.

handy
-
• #1172
No sorry, I meant the stems :)
-
• #1173
Ah sorry, that I can do!
I was thinking a t1000 was an iteration of triumph like the t120 etc.
I can do 1ā or 1 1/8āand 25.4 or 31.8 bars. What kinda stack height and length you looking for?
I was doing raw fillets (not smoothed) and non removable faceplate for Ā£55 posted or a bit more for smoothed fillets and/or removable faceplate so let me know what you fancy.

So, acid etching for headbadges? I've been meaning to try it with stainless. I gather from Bookface that you've done it before - what acid did you use? I've tried using ferric chloride, which didn't work at all.
I've only just realised it's you I've been following on Instagram!š
