I think the gov is super irresponsible for not taking the opportunity to do a public education thing around spitting...
When I was in Shanghai many moons ago they were having a public advertisement drive saying no spitting. Didn't seem to be making any difference. Lung oysters everywhere and the constant sound of loud hawking, even in restaurants.

I despise people spitting and I think the gov is super irresponsible for not taking the opportunity to do a public education thing around spitting... But no, let's blame imported salmon rather than upset the old people who think that spitting is good for you.
