Quite a long time ago I was asking about tire sealant for the new (then) Schwalbe Kojaks. I bought the Finish Line sealant, put it into the tubes and completely forgot about it.
Today, the GF and I rode into work for the first time since lockdown on the Bromptons. Just before we were about to leave her valve sort of blew out. It looked like the rubber sleeve had come away from the metal section of the valve. And now, about 6hrs later, one of mine has just popped!
Is this crazy coincidence, or do tubes have a finite lifespan with sealant? And would this be within hours, after installing 18months who?
